On Sunday the 4th September, three Stags and a TR7 from Northampton, joined what seemed like an exodus to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, there were masses of Triumphs from all over the country on show, from concourse to scruffy, all welcomed and all wanted. A good sized crowd meandered amongst them oohing and aahing enough to satisfy the vainest of proud owners.
It was my first look at the new hanger and as an old - old aircraft nut I must say it is impressive, it compliments the American hanger and is equally as good. Almost unbelievably the sun shone - yes - really, it was a bit breezy as airfields tend to be, but very pleasant.
A picnic, friends and lots of old cars is a great way to spend a Sunday, would YOU rather be cutting the grass ?
Were you at Duxford 2008?
