Triumph Sports Six Club Northants Area

  Trailer hitched and off we went, 6.30 start to catch Jonathan, Elaine, Grace and Olivia at Newbury. Arrived and parked next to a HUGE trailer tent, Jonathans new one, superb! Anyway, babies tended to, sarnies gobbled and flasks emptied, off we shot to Southampton. Both cars were admired by a busload of undertakers (really) on a day trip. The crossing was calm but windy (contradiction?). Arrived at site, went to book in, no one there. Pitched and still no one welcomed us! Slept well that night after couple of Dozy Rabbit beers. Saturday morning, more campers but still no one . . . . . you know the story by now. IOW had organised a run to Blackgang Chine, got to say, it was brilliant, sunny, I WAS NOT seen lookin g after Olivia and Grace so there. Good afternoon. We went to entertainment at bar, very good, bit noisy so went to bed at 9.45 (as usual). Sunday myself and Jonathan walked to local ruin for a craft fair, in the afternoon Grace and Olivia slept so we took them to the beach at Shanklin for fun and ice cream. We returned for the promised 25th Anniversary BBQ (me with tickets and slice of bread!), nuff said! I went to bed early again, very disappointed. Monday was bright and sunny. Packed up by 11oc and on way to ferry, arrived in time to get an earlier one. Crossing back was nice but windy. Trip home was fast, traffic light for Bank Holiday. All in all a good weekend with the kids.
