We set of on Thursday with camper behind the stag, everything packed with military precision. This is the 7th MOT we have attended now, which means that is how long I have been into my triumphs...my how time flies.

We arrived at the campsite at about 15.00, it only took two and a half hours.. record time whilst towing ( sixty all the way, honest John) I quickly erected the camper whilst Elaine fed the kids, of to the shops and then some excellent fish and chips, turns out the owner has a Westfield and came to the mot last year but unfortunately couldn’t make it this year...any way, it was vvvvvvvvvvvvvvery cold that night, down to about 6, but Friday morning arrived and a full English was soon on the go.
We drove into Great Yarmouth for a day out and I had pre-bought tickets for sea world (365.com, half price tickets for lots of theme parks and days out.)
grace and I thought the sharks were the best bit whilst Olivia was oblivious to it all being fast asleep. Elaine was marvelling at the wonders of sea horses and we agreed next year it may well be a Wednesday to Wednesday event for us.. too much to do.
Glynis, Ferny bubbles, Richard, Pat and Sam all had arrived on the Thursday and were at the campsite when we got back. We all had a good natter and headed to the bar ( hurrah!).

Sat morning arrived and with throbbing head ( dirty beer pipes, I blame as I wasn’t the only one to suffer.) I tried to help storming Norman sort his non- running 2000.( this is after his stag failed to deliver the goods on the way up there, go back home, re-attach caravan to the 2000 and try again.. that’s dedication .. top marks Gaye and Norm) after trying to clean Norms points ( go electronic Norm it’s easy) I wrongly diagnosed fuel, “yes even I can get it wrong” luckily Ron from Nott’s area lent a hand and continued where I left off. Resetting them as well and soon they were up and running.
So, into the show and a quick polish of the old stag. Boy was there some competition this year with a huge presence of stags. I have to give top marks to Julie for her hard work that she has put into her spitfire, a well deserved car of show and best spit. Concours is very time consuming..... been there.
Any way, my cunning plan of leaving the old red roof up worked and I piped (he-he) pip and frank from Manchester and got best stag .....yeh.. my first for the stag.
Saturday night was soon upon us and two nights of limited sleep, two grumpy kids and (maybe) a slight hangover still hanging on saw the Ingram tribe retire early from the nights activities....but only after grace cost me 30 quid for a bear.....

Sunday morning arrived, full English again, and line up for the mile convoy, unfortunately no police escort, but two nice traffic wardens let us all out at once.
One of the Traffic wardens made a certain Nott’s A.O move there car at Yarmouth front for parking on the zig zag near the pelican crossing. All in all a brilliant weekend, a bit cold at night, not quite the same Northants area camping camaraderie as usual, and some faces sorely missed........especially pat
and john, grace asked for you all weekend...!!
That’s it till may 2009 and the isle of Wight, lets see if we can get an armada of people to go...start saving now as I know the ferry crossing with trailer will be about the tonne mark..
